For spoken word or podcasts, 128 kbps keeps files small without noticeable quality loss. For music, 192-256 kbps is a solid balance of size and fidelity, and 320 kbps gets you as close to the original quality as MP3 allows. If file size doesn't matter, choose WAV for a lossless, uncompressed copy of the audio.
Can I extract just part of a video's audio?
Yes. Turn on "Extract only part of the video" and set a start and end time — only that range will be exported.
Why does my file have no sound?
Some videos — especially screen recordings or muted clips — simply don't have an audio track to begin with. We check for this before handing you a file: if no audio stream is detected, you'll see a clear error instead of a silent file that looks like it worked but isn't actually usable.
