Will this reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Pages are cropped, not re-rendered as images, so text stays sharp and selectable and there is no quality loss.

Does my file get uploaded anywhere?
No. Splitting happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your PDF never leaves your device.
My scan isn't centred — can I move the split line?
Yes. Drag the line directly on the page preview, or use the position slider, to match the spine even when it is off-centre.
Can I split top-to-bottom instead of left-to-right?
Yes. Choose "Top / Bottom" as the split direction for spreads scanned in portrait orientation.
Will the text stay selectable?
Yes. The tool only changes each page’s visible crop area — the underlying text and fonts are untouched, so selection, search, and copy-paste keep working.
