Does this create a real handwritten signature?

If you choose "Draw," yes — it captures your actual pen or finger strokes. "Type" renders your name in an italic font instead of simulating handwriting, and "Upload" uses a photo or scan of your existing signature.

Can I sign a PDF more than once?

Yes. Apply one signature, then create and place another wherever you need it before downloading — or apply the same signature to every page with the "Apply to all pages" option.

Does my PDF get uploaded to a server?

No. Signing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript — your file and signature never leave your device.

Is this a legally binding digital signature?

No. This tool places a visual image of your signature onto the page — it is not a cryptographic or certificate-based digital signature as defined by eSignature laws like eIDAS or the U.S. ESIGN Act. For contracts or documents that require verifiable, tamper-evident digital signatures, use a dedicated e-signature service that provides that legal framework.

What image formats can I upload as a signature?

PNG, JPG, and WebP files up to 15 MB. Enable "Remove white background" to turn a photo of a signature on white paper into a transparent cutout.

Can I sign on my phone?

Yes. The drawing canvas supports touch input, so you can sign with your finger or a stylus on a phone or tablet, then place and resize it the same way as on desktop.
