Frequently Asked Questions
Does the watermark reduce image quality?
No noticeable quality loss. Images are exported at the same resolution as the original, using a quality setting of 92% for JPG and WebP files (PNG is always lossless).
Can I add the same watermark to multiple photos at once?
Yes. Upload up to 20 images, set up your watermark once using the live preview, and it's applied to every image when you download individually or as a ZIP.
What's the difference between text and logo watermarks?
Text watermarks let you stamp any custom message using your device's fonts. Logo watermarks let you upload your own image — typically a transparent PNG logo — and place it the same way, with adjustable size and opacity.
Can I watermark photos with Chinese, Japanese, or Arabic text?
Yes. Unlike our PDF Watermark tool, which is limited to WinAnsi-encodable characters, this tool draws text directly on a canvas, so any Unicode script your browser can render — CJK, Arabic, Cyrillic, emoji, and more — works out of the box.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Every image, including your logo, is processed entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent to a server, so your files never leave your device.
Where should I place a watermark so it's hard to remove?
A single corner watermark is easy to crop out. For stronger protection, use tiled mode to repeat a semi-transparent watermark across the whole image — it's much harder to remove without visibly damaging the photo.
