Will removing metadata reduce my photo quality?
There may be a small, generally unnoticeable quality change from re-encoding, since the image is redrawn onto a canvas and re-compressed. Dimensions and visual content stay identical.
Why do some tools leave my photo sideways after removing metadata?
Phones often store photos in their sensor's native orientation and use an EXIF rotation tag to display them upright.
