It overlaps the end of one clip with the start of the next using an equal-power fade, so the volume stays smooth and constant through the transition instead of dropping out and back in. Leave it at 0 seconds for a hard, instant cut.
Can I join files of different formats?
Yes. You can mix MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, and FLAC files freely — each is decoded to raw audio before joining, so the format differences are resolved automatically.
