PNG, JPG, or WebP • Up to 50MB
Turn one photo into a clean grid of tiles for an Instagram profile grid, a photo wall, or a print layout — all processed locally in your browser. Choose any number of rows and columns up to 6×6, crop to a perfect square with one toggle, and number the tiles in Instagram posting order so the finished grid lines up exactly the way you planned it.
Is this image splitter free to use?
Yes. Splitting images into a grid is completely free with no limits, watermarks, or sign-up required.
What image formats are supported?
PNG, JPG, and WebP files up to 50MB are supported. Each tile is saved in the same format as your original image.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. Splitting happens locally in your browser using the Canvas API — your image never leaves your device.
In what order do I post the tiles to Instagram?
Turn on Instagram posting order and post starting from tile #1, which is the bottom-right tile. Instagram shows your most recent post first, so posting bottom-right to top-left in that order makes the finished grid read correctly on your profile.
Can I split an image into a 3×3, 2×2, or a wide banner?
Yes. Use the 3×3 or 2×2 quick presets for a classic Instagram grid, the 3×1 preset for a wide banner split across three posts, or set any custom rows and columns up to 6×6.
Why do my tiles have slightly different sizes?
When the image width or height doesn't divide evenly by the number of columns or rows, the extra pixels go to the last tile in each row and column instead of being hidden or stretched, so every tile stays an honest, undistorted crop.
All splitting happens locally in your browser. Your images are never uploaded, stored, or sent to any server.
